Biography

Boris Miha Kaučič is employed at the Dr. Marijan Borštnar Dornava Institute for Training, Work, and Care, where he serves as the Head of the Quality and Development Service (Quality Management Representative). The Council of the Slovenian Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education appointed him as an expert for NAKVIS. He is also a member of the Chamber of Nursing and Midwifery of Slovenia – the Association of Professional Societies of Nurses, Midwives, and Nursing Technicians. During the 2021–2025 term, he served as President of the Section of Nurses in Education, Training, and Research. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Association of Nurses, Midwives, and Nursing Technicians Ljubljana. For his active work in the field of nursing, he received the highest award of the Chamber–Association, the Golden Badge.

Research Profile

He is an Associate Professor and has served as the professional lead of the projects Healthy Lifestyle for Aging Well (HLAW 2014–2016), Quality Mentorship for Developing Competent Nursing Students (QualMent 2018–2021), and Activation for All – A4A (2024–2025). He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Pielęgniarstwo XXI wieku (Nursing in the 21st Century, Medical University of Lublin) and a reviewer for the journals Nursing in the 21st Century, Annals of Agricultural and Environmental Medicine, Revija za zdravstvene vede, and Obzornik zdravstvene nege. He also participated in the international project Multicultural Care in European Intensive Care Units (MICE-ICU 2016–2018).
