Student Testimonials
I sincerely thank all faculty colleagues for your flexibility and understanding. Despite being on campus infrequently, I truly feel welcomed as an individual—not just a number, as happens at larger faculties. You maintain high standards across all areas, which gives us FOŠ doctoral students greater credibility. Thank you for all your efforts; I look forward to continued cooperation.
Iskrena hvala za ves vaš trud, veselim se nadaljnjega sodelovanja.
I fondly remember my time at the faculty, where I met many excellent professors and lecturers-especially my supervisor, Prof. Dr Uroš Pinterič. The faculty members encouraged critical thinking, argument based judgement, and the development of ideas. We have put this to good use in our companies and elsewhere.
I was drawn to the FOŠ doctoral programme in Quality Management because quality is increasingly linked to human needs, aspirations, and expectations. We can keep pace with rapid change only by acquiring new knowledge which—together with practical work—helps improve the quality of life and work for individuals, organisations, and communities.
Studying at FOŠ in Novo mesto broadened my horizons. I now understand ‘quality’ from multiple perspectives. I’m very satisfied with the format: lectures are held on weekday afternoons, so weekends are for family. Lecturers are approachable and experienced. It also matters that I can study locally, without the cost and time of commuting to the capital. Relations among students are friendly, and I’m glad to be part of an exceptional team—leadership, fa, aculty members, and students at FOS Novo mesto.
Deciding to return to study after 15 years of work was difficult, as I couldn’t imagine balancing family and job responsibilities with academic obligations. Yet the mixed feelings disappeared during the first classes, because the topics in the Quality Management programme matched my expectations for personal and career growth. Studying at FOŠ gave me additional breadth, new perspectives, and especially new approaches to addressing current topics in quality management and people leadership. With their professional and personal approach, the professors added extra positive energy to the experience. I can say that studying Quality Management at FOS was one of the best decisions of my life.
When I decided to study at the Faculty of Organisation Studies I knew it would be a challenge alongside a demanding job and family. But I was driven by the desire for new knowledge, which today helps me achieve greater personal and professional excellence. I use this knowledge every day to create a pleasant working environment, aware that only satisfied colleagues can provide good service to citizens.
Studying while working gave me breadth of knowledge and perspectives for organisational work, which I now apply in my company. At first it was demanding, but once I began using the knowledge in practice, I only wanted more—more knowledge, exercises, learning, and discussions. FOS is very flexible, and I recommend it to everyone who wants to work in a company in a quality, transparent, ethical, and moral way—and above all grow into a capable manager. Keep upgrading your knowledge.
Throughout my studies at FOŠ I experienced the exceptional responsiveness and proactivity of all staff, which certainly helped me organise and complete my study obligations.
I like studying at FOŠ especially because of the opportunity to participate in interesting projects, the personal approach and quick responsiveness of both lecturers and the Student Affairs Office, the practical value of lectures, and the encouragement of teamwork. The icing on the cake is certainly the possibility of a study exchange or an internship abroad.
After completing my studies at FOŠ, my understanding of organisation and quality management is different—comprehensive and in-depth. This opens more opportunities and enables competent management of the challenges in the business environment where I work. I can also apply my personal paradigm in the academic world.
I chose the postgraduate Quality Management programme at FOŠ Novo mesto because knowledge in quality and excellence is increasingly important. The programme is designed so that students from various undergraduate backgrounds can enrol; it is not necessary to have studied economics. As a registered nurse, I believe I will be able to use the knowledge in my field. Since business systems increasingly strive to implement models for comprehensive quality management, I am convinced that enrolling in the postgraduate Quality Management programme is the right choice for anyone wishing to broaden their horizons in quality and excellence. I liked the studies because of the highly individual approach of excellent lecturers. Communication is friendly, fair, and respectful.
During my studies I gained a great deal of useful additional knowledge. I am glad that I met wonderful, kind, and interesting lecturers whom I will remember with pleasure. Studying at FOŠ will always be part of the pleasant memories of my life.
What I like at our faculty, FOŠ Novo mesto, is the independent doctoral study. In three years I learned self-discipline in writing a scientific work, and all the staff and my supervisor were always there when I needed help. Through exams, lectures, and colloquia they gave me the guidance and knowledge required for my thesis. The administration is always available, which I particularly appreciate. They answer my questions quickly and professionally. Thank you all!
During my studies I gained many positive experiences and insights. I especially appreciated when some lecturers did not stick only to the book but offered real-life examples or thoughts that might help us in the future. In this way they sparked our interest in the subject; such lecturers should, in my view, be role models for all.
I am a first-year student at the Faculty of Organisation Studies and I am very satisfied with my studies. The staff have a wealth of knowledge and experience, which they pass on to us students—the future graduates, masters, and doctors. I would recommend the Faculty of Organisation Studies to everyone interested in management who wishes to develop a career in this direction.
Today’s society demands ever more knowledge and bigger leaps in all areas. I always seek more—and that “more” is knowledge, which gives us the power to become more confident, successful, and proactive. For me, knowledge is the foundation for achieving personal goals. Because of my desire for new knowledge and personal growth, I decided to study at the Faculty of Organisation Studies in Novo mesto. They offered an interesting Quality Management programme delivered in Novo mesto, which was very important to me. The entire education was engaging and followed the planned schedule, so I could coordinate my work and study obligations. The lecturers were fair, approachable, responsive, and honest. All praise to the faculty leadership and professional staff for their support and their always-kind words. The studies demanded all my free time, a lot of self-discipline, and of course learning—without which there is no success. I was very happy when I completed my final obligation—the defence of my thesis—and proved to myself that the effort was not in vain and that I am capable of more. I gained useful and, above all, applicable professional knowledge. During my studies I met wonderful classmates. We brightened many evenings after lectures, exchanged opinions, notes, and knowledge, and encouraged each other. With some, we have remained inseparable friends.
The timetable at the faculty is very flexible and adaptable. Exams are scheduled progressively, not all at once. The Student Affairs Office is very kind and understanding regarding any matter.
