Our Doctoral Student on an Erasmus+ Mobility in Ostrava, Czech Republic
Our doctoral student, Lejla Imamović Lerić, participated in the international Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Artificial Intelligence Summer School 2026, hosted by the University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic, within the Erasmus+ programme.
The summer school combined both virtual and on-site components, offering participants an in-depth insight into artificial intelligence and the ethical issues related to its development and application. During the first, online part of the programme, participants explored the theoretical foundations of artificial intelligence, current trends, and key ethical challenges such as transparency, accountability, and the impact of artificial intelligence on society. The second part of the mobility took place in Ostrava, where students worked under the mentorship of international experts on projects that connected technological solutions with their ethical implications.
Within the programme, Lejla further developed her knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence, with a particular interest in the intersection of AI and psychology, as well as the impact of emerging technologies on individuals, workplaces, and society. Participation in an international environment enabled her to exchange ideas with participants from diverse academic backgrounds, gain new research perspectives, and establish valuable international connections.
The Erasmus+ programme offers students and staff numerous opportunities for international cooperation, knowledge acquisition, and the development of professional and personal competencies. Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) represent a modern and accessible way of engaging in the international academic environment, as they combine the advantages of virtual collaboration with physical mobility. The participation of our doctoral student in the summer school in Ostrava is an excellent example of how Erasmus+ fosters collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange within the European Higher Education Area.
