Brief Project Description:
The project examines the growing presence of Filipino and Thai workers in Slovenia and the processes of their integration into the Slovenian work and social environment. It focuses on sectors facing labour shortages in Slovenia, such as hospitality, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and service activities.
The research is based on an anthropological and interdisciplinary approach and explores migrants’ experiences, working conditions, organizational culture, intercultural relations, and broader migration policies. The project includes ethnographic fieldwork and interviews with migrants, employers, institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
The aim of the project is to contribute to a better understanding of contemporary labour migration in Slovenia and to provide recommendations for more inclusive and sustainable integration practices in the labour market.
