UNM FOŠ Hosts the Second International and Interdisciplinary Conference within the TRANSFORM CERV Project

At the end of September 2026, UNM FOS hosted the Second International and Interdisciplinary Conference – The Future of the Human Workforce, organised within the European CERV project - TRANSFORM.

The conference brought together more than 40 participants from 14 countries to discuss AI, automation and robotics alongside workers' rights, skills, the green transition, well-being, inclusion and the changing meaning of work.

From Cedefop's perspective on European labour-market transformations, to debates on post-work societies and concrete examples from robotics and autonomous systems, the conference showed the value of bringing technological and social perspectives into the same conversation.

Participants also enriched the programme with questions about surveillance and privacy, the environmental costs of AI, disability and accessibility, human–robot interaction and human oversight.

A message that emerged throughout the day was clear: technology creates possibilities, but it does not determine the future of work on its own.

Thank you to all speakers, presenters, moderators and participants who made the discussion possible.
