Conference SOCIAL
On 30 November 2022, a virtual international scientific conference entitled "Human rights in modern organization and society" was held at the Faculty of Organisation Studies in Novo mesto under the auspices of the Centre for the Study of Contemporary Social Issues (RC SOCIAL). The conference was created with the cooperation of the Faculty of Law and Administration, Nicolaus Copernicus University, Poland, the Cardet organization from Cyprus, the University of Applied Sciences UCLL from Belgium (UCLL University of Applied Science, Belgium) and the Faculty of Industrial Engineering in Novo mesto. The conference hosted the Deputy Ombudsman, Dr. Jože Ruparčič and moderators and panelists from many countries, such as Brazil, Cyprus, Ecuador, Poland, the Republic of North Macedonia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Great Britain,... With the conference, the Faculty of OrganisationStudies in Novo mesto wants to emphasize the importance of a stronger commitment to respect for human rights, both in the organisation and in society with the aim of moving away from the current destructive practices, which in the long term lead us from the democratic visions of modern society into the imposed shackles of neoliberalism and autocracy.
