Erasmus Standard University Charter
Active integration into the European Research Area and European Higher Education Area is one of the key developmental priorities of the Faculty of Organisation Studies (FOS). FOS will actively cooperate in international cooperation through more:
- Cooperation in international research programmes, especially at the EU level
- Cooperation with research institutions abroad
- Including researchers from abroad and from neighbouring countries into research projects
- Ensuring international recognition, especially through researchers’ publications in monographs with foreign publishers (and) indexed scientific journals.
The Erasmus University Charter (EUC) provides the general framework for all European co-operation activities a higher education institution may carry out within the Erasmus Programme. The Charter sets out the fundamental principles and the minimum requirements underlying the Erasmus activities a higher education institution has to respect.
As such, FOS is entitled to participate in decentralized Erasmus activities and transnational student mobility for studies, for transnational mobility activities for teachers and other staff and/or to apply for EILCs, Erasmus IPs, multilateral projects, networks, accompanying measures or preparatory visits.
FOS in cooperation with domestic and international higher education institutions will organize international summer schools in the field of quality and business excellence for students in the Master’s and PhD programmes. Successful completion will be awarded according to the ECTS system and students will be able to transfer these credit points to their institutions.
FOS actively encourages their own faculty members and researchers to participate as visiting professors at higher education institutions abroad including taking advantage of sabbaticals. In addition, FOS invites renowned higher education faculty members and researchers for short-term or long-term visits.
FOS also encourages the organization of international (consortium) study programmes at the postgraduate level. Through such endeavours, FOS is able to connect with partner institutes and as such opens the door for integrating higher education faculty and staff from abroad.
FOS will also take part in various activities to participate in the international research arena. It will particularly encourage participation in international research projects and publication of results in international publications. Within the framework of these activities, FOS will encourage the organization of international scientific conferences in Slovenia and encourage individual research connections and visits at universities abroad.
