Biography
Dr. Vodopivec, born in 1960 in Postojna, graduated in 1984 at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana, where he also received his masters degree in 1990. He earned his Phd in business logistics at the University of Maribor in 1996. His first professional employment was at the Department for Regional Planning (ISRS), while his research work began at the Transport Institute. Form 1990-1992 he worked as a researcher at the University of Massachusetts. Upon his return, he began a part time, and later full time employment at the Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport, where he took position as vice dean of research activities and head of undergraduate study. From 1998-2004 he worked at the GEA-college, where he was a member of the Senate and chaired the Marketing cathedra. From 2005-2007 he became the vice dean for research activities and chaired the Economics cathedra at the Higher Business School in Novo mesto. As a private lecturer, he lectures at other higher educational institutions and the Faculty of Logistics Celje, University of Maribor.
Research Profile
He is the CEO of MEDIAFAS since 2008. He authored 11 scientific articles in respectable journals, 27 professional articles and publications, 20 monographs and textbooks, written independently or in cooperation with other authors, 17 notebooks of final research reports on domestic and foreign research projects, a large number of expert reports and many other works. He is a member of the editorial board of the Serbian scientific journal Economic topics.
