PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES
The APOLLO project focuses on various challenges in the Alpine region, including new needs related to work-life balance (demographic changes, the need for family support, and e-health); new forms of work (remote work and flexibility); new forms of territorial corporate welfare (cooperation between private and public-private entities); and the impact of digitalization on human resource management.
The aim of the APOLLO project is to improve the quality of life of the working-age population in the Alpine region by developing digital solutions to support social innovation. It addresses various population-related challenges, such as new needs in the field of work-life balance (demographic changes, support for family life, and e-health), new forms of work (remote work and more flexible forms of employment), new forms of cooperation between public and private organizations to strengthen social cohesion and well-being in a specific area, and the impact of digitalization on human resource management.
APOLLO seeks to improve the well-being of the working population by fostering cooperation between public administrations, research centers, businesses, and stakeholders in the field of territorial corporate welfare. Particular attention will be paid to digitalization as a means of supporting social innovation.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
- Improve knowledge and the exchange of good practices, particularly in the field of digitalization for corporate and territorial welfare;
- Improve cooperation among different stakeholders (public administrations at different levels, R&D institutions, SMEs, and workers);
- Improve working conditions and access to services in Alpine areas, particularly in peripheral areas and SMEs.
EXPECTED PROJECT RESULTS
- Implementation of a Pilot Action
Implementation of a pilot action comprising two main activities: capacity building and service sharing.
- GearingUP Tool
The GearingUP tool is an operational model for implementing public-private agreements aimed at providing territorial welfare practices in the Alpine region. It will take into account the results produced within the work packages and the activities carried out as part of the pilot action.
- Policy Recommendations
A policy recommendations report will be prepared based on the experience gained through the APOLLO project. It will provide useful guidance for integrating targeted territorial welfare measures into relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks. The report will be aimed at public administrations and will serve as a useful tool for influencing local policies (at least 8) and regional policies (at least 8).
- Establishment of a Stakeholder Network (APOLLO Network)
A Memorandum of Understanding will be shared among the project partners and signed by key stakeholders (who will form the APOLLO Network) in the field of territorial welfare. Its purpose will be to define the framework of the international APOLLO Network, which will continue to exist after the completion of the APOLLO project, as well as to develop new proposals and implement new actions to consolidate the project's results in the regions.
