Topics and Purpose

The Journal covers topics on organizational studies and universal excellence. Its purpose is to research and develop the fundamental principles of excellency, in other words, the fundamental concepts of the new organizational paradigm using the EFQM model of business excellency:

Because the journal has the ambition to encourage new ideas and thoughts, its purpose also is to research and develop the basic principles or concepts of universal excellence using the Otočec rising strategy of universal excellence and mastery:

Peer Review

Before publication, all articles estimated by editor are forwarded in anonymous review process to at least two reviewers (blind peer review). The editorial board reserves the right that in the event of major inconsistencies or. substantive deviations from the editorial policy, does not forward the article for review and rejects it. Based on the received reviews, editor or editorial board publishes the article, requires revision or rejects it. Author must provide proofreading for the article.

Authorship and AI tools

The statement asserts that AI tools cannot be listed as authors of a paper, as they cannot meet the requirements for authorship, take responsibility for the submitted work, assert conflicts of interest, or manage copyright and license agreements. Authors must be transparent in disclosing if and how AI tools were used in their paper, and they are fully responsible for the content of their manuscript, including parts produced by an AI tool, and are thus liable for any breach of publication ethics.

Izzivi prihodnosti, guided by the COPE recommendations, supports this position on authorship and AI tools, while also acknowledging that its stance may evolve as AI tools and practices continue to develop. As the use of AI in writing becomes more prevalent, discussions around ethical considerations will undoubtedly continue.

Open Access Policy

The journal’s editorial policy is that all articles upon publication are freely available so that they are accessible to the public for global exchange of knowledge.

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

Ethical awareness

A reviewer should be alert to potential ethical issues in the paper and should bring these to the attention of the editor, including any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which the reviewer has personal knowledge. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation.

We follow COPE’s principles of publication ethics. To promote academic integrity Challenges of the Future follows COPE’s Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. More about the Core Practices available here.
